Three soldiers find themselves giving the performance of a lifetime when a famous singing trio of siblings fail to arrive at their USO gig. The Buena Park Civic Theatre has provided local residents with some of the most enjoyable theater in Orange County. Come and see the Little Shop of Horrors. The Fullerton Museum Center teams up with the local Hunger Artists Theater Company in an introductory Shakespearean acting course. This course, geared towards 6th, 7th and 8th graders, will examine Shakespeare's work and make it fun and up to date with skits, costumes and more. We will focus on The Taming of the Shrew as each participant will have the opportunity to see a stage version of the play at The Hunger Artists Theater. Cypress Recreation and Community Services Department is now accepting registration for the 2009 Hot Fun in the Summer at Cypress Parks program for participants ages 5 – 12 years old. Hot Fun in the Summer is a supervised program that has been developed around special events taking place in various parks throughout the city on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Each week features event with a unique theme for the kids to enjoy. Registration is $15 per week. Pre-Registration is required no later than two days prior to event date. Forever Fullerton - Julius Shulman is an exhibition of one of the best known architectural photographers in the world. In the 50s and 60s, Shulman photographed homes and schools in Fullerton. The images in this exhibition at the Fullerton Museum Center include scenes from mid-century interiors and exteriors. The museum is located in downtown Fullerton at Pomona and Wilshire. Boys and girls between the ages of 8 to 12, come improve your skills at our annual summer baseball camp. Recreation staff with collegiate level experience teaches hitting, fielding, pitching, and all-around knowledge of the game. Boys and girls between the ages of 8-12, bring your game to the Cypress annual summer youth basketball camp. Basic skills, offense, defense, and a respect for the game will be taught by recreation staff with collegiate level experience. All participants are encouraged to bring a lunch and plenty of water.
